The goal is to keep the game straight-forward and simple, yet still flexible. The steps of character creation are:
1. Pick Your Character's Sex. (Male or Female. There are only humans in this game, although supernatural characters could easily be added. The foundation for that may be laid in the Advantages and Disadvantages. It's something to consider.)
2. Determine Your Character's Primary Attributes. There are six Primary Attributes--Strength, Agility, Constitution, Alertness, Personality, and Intelligence. Each has a base score of 6. Roll 1d6 for each attribute and add it to the base. Each attribute thus is the total of 6+1d6.
3. Determine Derived Attributes. There are three Derived Attributes--Mental Health, Physical Health, and Vehicle Mastery.
Mental Health is used to resist certain ghost attacks and to get through situations of great horror; it is Constitution + Personality + Alertness / 2. Round up to the nearest whole number if necessary.
Physical Health is used to survive all kinds of bodily harm and physical injuries; it is determined by Strength + Constitution + Intelligence / 2. Round up to the nearest whole number if necessary.
Vehicle Mastery is used to drive, fly, and pilot the various crafts needed to stay ahead of the hungry spirits and anyone else who might want to harm or rob you; it is determined by Agility + Altertness + Intelligence / 3. Round up to the nearest whole number if necessary.
4. Select Advantages. Your character starts with a 1d3 + 1 advantages.
5. Select Disadvantages. Your character must start with a minimum two. More Disadvantages may be chosen, up to a total of four.
6. Select Skills. Your character starts with two Level One skills, or one Level Two skill under each of the Primary Attributes; one Level One skill under each of the Derived Attributes, or one Level Two skill under a single one of the Attributes, and a number of Level One Vehicle Mastery skills equal to 1d3 -1. (All these numbers may be adjusted by Advantages and Disadvantages.)

Next, I will develop an initial list of Advantages and Disadvantages.
